Chollar Mansion B&B Policies

• When making a lodging reservation by phone, please ensure that you provide your name, address, phone number(s), e-mail address, and complete reservation dates.
• All reservations require a 50% deposit of the total lodging rate and we gladly accept Visa, Mastercard, personal checks or traveler’s check for deposits and payment.
• Deposits by mail must be received no later than 10 days prior to your intended arrival date to hold your reservation.
• The Chollar Mansion B & B will confirm receipt of all reservations and deposits by phone call or in writing.
• If an existing reservation must be cancelled, guests must notify us at least seven (7) days prior to their scheduled arrival date, in order to receive a deposit refund. With proper notification, deposits will be refunded, minus a $25 cancellation fee.
• If a reservation is cancelled less than seven (7) days in advance, a deposit refund will be granted only if the room can be re-booked and rented to another guest.
• If a guest fails to arrive on their reserved lodging date, the full rental rate for the entire reserved stay will be charged.
• When vacancies permit, walk-in guests are welcome with full payment in cash or by credit card upon check-in.
• The sales tax for lodging facilities in Virginia City, NV is 10%.
• Families with up to two children will be lodged in the O’Connell Cottage at an additional cost of $35 per child, per night. We cannot accommodate children in the Requa or Clark suites.
• In an effort to promote fire safety, protect the health of our guests, and to preserve the historic nature of the Chollar Mansion, smoking is not permitted anywhere in the mansion or cottage. Guests may smoke in the two outdoor courtyards.
• Sorry, we cannot accommodate any pets.
• Check in time is between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM, unless other arrangements have been made in advance. Please call to let us know if your travel schedule requires a later arrival time. Likewise, it is very important for you to call us if you find it necessary to arrive before 3:00 PM. We want to ensure that your suite is ready when you arrive.
• Check out time is 11:00 AM. If a later check-out time is desired, please notify us in advance.
• Relax and enjoy yourself! If you’re not having a good time, neither are we.
